Bug Description
Such a nice GNOME app! Use an app icon that follows the GNOME Interface Guidelines*.

Oh my god, I love it! Thank you for this -- icon design is not my strong suit and I appreciate the help.
(Apologies for the extremely delayed response. I seem to have misconfigured my gmult bugmail.)
It was kind of you to try to keep to the existing metaphor/design of the icon, but I'm definitely open to changes there too. But this is great! Gonna work on a new release with the new icon, adwaita 1.2, and some other modern updates.
