Bug Description

When a iso is mounted with gmount-iso, nautilus shows invalid file names. Directories are not affected. The characters ";1" are added to every filename. For example: "SETUP.EXE" is displayed as "SETUP.EXE;1". These happens to all (i've tested 3-4 images so far) isos. Screenshot of mounted image is attached.

Version: 0.4-0ubuntu3 (intrepid)

Are you sure this bug does not appear too with the command line : sudo mount -o loop image.iso /your_mount_point ?

And also the file- and folder names are all uppercase with gmount-iso as you can see on the screenshot.

I can't reproduce this bug...

And what's the result with the command :
sudo mount -o loop -t 9660 image.iso /your_mount_point ?

I think the bug is due to the option "-t 9660"...
What is the file system type of your iso ?

I am unable to reproduce this bug. I have tried several isos.

It may be helpful to know what software was used to create the iso.

I am not sure if one of these bug reports should be a duplicate, but here is another bug report for a different package that is also having this issue:

I can confirm that this affects me on ubuntu 8.10, ubuntu 9.04 alpha 6.
it doesnt matter which software was used to create the isos. though mine were created with brasero and some with the gnome disc writing utility which was in places menu in ubuntu 8.10.
it seems to affect certain types of iso files. eg some iso on my system always work and some always dont.

i think dvd movies are a problematic bunch.

and like ubuntu 8.10 iso gives this problem but fedora 10 kde4 iso doesnt . dont know why.

Instead of writing about strange characters, you should know, that this characters are the so called ISO File Versions and are not added by the mounter, they are in the image. However, they should be hidden by the mounter, which is, there you're right, a bug.

The new release 0.4.1 includes the option to mount the image file as UDF. Could you try it and confirm that it fixes this bug?
Thanks!
