gm-notify should display newest unread emails

gm-notify always displays the same old, unread emails in my inbox despite the existence of newer mail. i assume this is because the default is to display a finite number of unread emails, and the few I have yet to respond to are filling up the que which prevents the new ones from showing up.

Perhaps the program could be changed to display the newest unread emails. This way, it is obvious that there is new mail. The way it is now, I never know if I have new mail or not, which defeats the purpose of the applet for my use case.
