I've just installed lucid 10.04 on both my pc and laptop. I have installed gm-notify as it seems to be the best of breed of gmail notifiers most appropriate to the new ubuntu notification system. I have found 2 problems.
No matter what I enter on the configuration display, the boolean option and file disappear the next time I bring up the display. I was able to enter the values via gconf-editor, after which they are always displayed in the gm-notifier configuration display.
After doing this sound would still not work when new mail arrived. Trying to debug this, I found that restarting gm-notify once the sound + file was set via gconf-editor caused sound to be played.
[BTW, where can I see error/log messages from gm-notify? Also, shouldn't gm-notify have an option to shutdown/close?]
I'm using version 0.10.2-1~ppa1 which is the latest at this time. |
change the behaviour to apply the configuration settings when closing the window
