Bug Description

I'm using gm-notify on couple of computers (two with Ubuntu 11.10 and one with Ubuntu 12.04) and I noticed that gm-notify stopped showing notifications after I enabled Gmail's 2-step verification. All 3 computers are affected.

Of course, I've generated Gmail's 'application specific passwords', updated login credentials in gm-notify and gm-notify said that verification passed. Unfortunately, even though gm-notify starts normally, it won't notify me when I receive new mail - it doesn't show popup notification or unread number of messages in messaging indicator.

I just tried this today on 12.10. Set up gm-notify with the application specific password, and it was able to notify me of email.
