Bug Description
After upgrade to Ubuntu 12.10 (from 11.10) I found Firefox to be unresponsive very often. At first, I believed this to be due to Unity Websites/Desktop Integration, but when the problem persisted I disabled all add-ons and enabled individually until the problem began again. Have not had an issue since disabling Ugm (again).
Secific symptoms include Firefox taking nearly a minute to respond to any interaction, taking 100% CPU, and unity-panel-service being near 100% as well. Seems more likely to occur when one of the web apps is open, especially Last.fm, but can occur after opening with only about:home open (but only if Firefox was opened and closed without a reboot).

Searching for unity-panel-service hud-service firefox lead me to Bug #987060 , which this is closely related to. In other bug report, there is also high memory usage, but not in my case. The poblem seems to be related to HUD having issues with a high number of bookmarks. I cleaned up my bookmarks a little and can confirm that things have gotten slightly better since.
