These functionalities are often broken as they also aren't tested in Tempest yet.

I think this more applicable to glance than cinder, but we can leave it on here until we know for sure that there isn't anything we need to change on the cinder side to support this.

That is true, but it looks like we (Cinder) are currently more invested in driving this effort to make sure that this functionality works and is tested.

Next step would be to improve that into something mergeable, and start working on some zuul config changes to enable this backend.

This should be tested in both Glance jobs, maybe we can also add it to the lio-barbican Cinder job.

I have started to investigate the issue.
As far as I have understood, we just want to run Glance API test with simple operation (upload/download), but with cinder as store. Right?

Do we need any different scenarios in Tempest for that? I think the tests in tempest/api/image should be enough
