Ginn doesn't do app specific gestures. Wrong names?

Bug Description

Installed Ginn on Netrunner 14 (kubuntu based) without problems

Some global gestures work, but others don't seem to, and I haven't been able to use app-specific gestures at all.
In the trace I can see Ginn recognises the gestures, but nothing happens.

The activeApp reported doesn't always make sense. Konsole and inkscape are ok, but firefox is recognised as 'Readme" (whichever page is open) and chrome shows as the name of the active tab at the time ginn started (even when that is closed).

My linux blurb is Linux aspire 3.13.0-30-generic #55-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 4 21:40:53 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I don't know which version ginn is since it doesn't have any cli options (e.g. -v or --version) but I installed from ubunutu repo yesterday.
