Xonotic Gameplay Bugged

I installed the recently updated Xonotic 0.8.2, and the shooting graphics are bugged. I am not able to damage other bots and they cannot damage me or each other. You can recreate by playing a single player game. I recorded a video to show what I mean:

These glitches do not occur when I use the version of Xonotic from the official website.
I'm running Ubuntu Xenial Xerus.
