egoboo was once part of Debian and Ubuntu but was removed because of open bugs:

That Debian bug 707930 is a meta-bug which references 4 other bug reports.

Of those, (3) are about the non-libreness of certain content in the Egoboo package (fonts, PDF files, and audio). That kind of issue has generally not kept packages off of GetDeb.net.

The 4th bug report (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=554320) is an FTBFS (Failed to Build from Source) which:
[a] has a patch which claims to fix it (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=554320#16), and
[b] may have been fixed upstream since 28 Dec 2011 when the patch was supplied, and
[c] may be specific to the Debian build environment (see above paragraph about 3 of the 4 bug reports).

Can you try building the current source? If you're successful, then I think Debian bug 554320 isn't relevant to GetDeb.net.
