Bug Description

Hi!

The "Burnstation" concept and the burnstation programs seems to be a great project to share free contents and to transform a computer in a powerful "station" to create compilations of medias, burning it, and share it, etc...

This project is not new, but there doesn't exist yet an easy way to install it on Ubuntu.

There exists a debian depository but it can't work with ubuntu (bad depencies i guess).

The only way is to create packages for ubuntu from de subversion depository of the burnstation projet.
Check this: http://tiki.burnstation.org/tiki-index.php?page=Burnstation.deb&bl

This would be a great opportunity to join free culture project with ubuntu and free software?

Could someone create the long-awaited deposits?
It will be very nice! ;)

Both client and server have been uploaded and built by the ABS. Sorry about uploading them separately, it's due to the weird way they distributed their source code.

The packages were lost during ab ABS cleanup, any change you have the packages around to reupload ?

Thanks

Yes, in fact. I do have them. I'll have to upload them later on today, as I have to depart soon. However, if you're in a rush, the diff/sources are available on my repository: http://download.tuxfamily.org/megabuntu/dists/gutsy-megaqwerty/all/index.html

After installing it I was unable to use it, the provided binaries report some unfriendly errors, like unable to connect to the database. This software is not friendly for the "average" user.

When I have more time, I'll try and update this to burnstation's latest version which might clean up the bugs. (Seeing as the diff/sources are from November last year)

I've tried also to install the 2 deb (server and client) (on gutsy)
The basic installation work fine (I don't have problems about dependencies or something like that), however the burnstation doesn't work correctly.

The problem seem to come from the netjuke configuration...
but I'm not a specialist and I cannot fix this... (I've tried, reading some stuff)..

As says Megaqwerty, maybe the burnstation's latest version will be less buggy or easier to run on.
(by the way, thank you to Megaqwerty for the .deb)
