Bug Description

Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin) x86_64

tileracer 0.702-1~getdeb1

First, it's looking in the wrong directory for some libs:

Initialize ALSA ... ok
ALSA lib ../../src/conf.c:3314:(snd_config_hooks_call) Cannot open shared library libasound_module_conf_pulse.so
ALSA lib ../../../src/pcm/pcm.c:2217:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default

Workaround:
ln -s /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/alsa-lib/libasound_module_conf_pulse.so /usr/lib32/alsa-lib/
ln -s /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so /usr/lib32/alsa-lib/

However, even with this fixed there is no sound and it hangs at exit with no obvious error message:

Good game but it appears to be abandoned upstream since 2008.

I did finally get sound sort-of working. It's intermittent and lagging. It appears that my testing had caused the PulseAudio to hang. Killing and restarting it solved the problem. However, the library symlinks are still required.

Hum, I do not seem to require those symlinks on 13.04.

They do not exist and I also do not get an error in the log. There is sound in the game.

Also the game already comes precompiled so there is no way I can make it link to the correct files in the correct place.

Are you using 64-bit 13.04?

On a 32-bit 12.04 installation the sound worked without the links but still has significant lag.

Sorry. I do not know how to fix this and like I said the game comes precompiled :/
