Bug Description

Currently, the single attribute editor is modal.
Proposal:
Let the single attribute editor behave like the multi attribute editor. That is:
   1) non blocking
   2) apply changes when the mouse curso leaves the dialog
   3) always refer to the currently selected object.

Over time, I put the modality issue of the single attribute editor four times indedependently in my notes...

This non-feature just fell on my feet again. It combines in an unfortunate way with the fact that the attribute editor window does not come to front when the main window of gschem receives focus. It is possible to have the blocking editor hidden somewhere beneath windows of other applications. In this situation, it is extremely unfortunate, that the attribute editor does not show in the window list. Thus, I end up closing other applications to expose the attribute editor.

IMHO, such misbehaviour should not be tagged "wishlist" but "low".

I can change the priority, but I don't think it will make much difference.

As I recall, I think Peter B mentioned something about working on the single attribute / text editor. In the past we did talk about removing it completely though - so long as the multi-attribute editor can be taught to be similarly useful.

Well, it makes a difference to me as the reporter :-)
Importance "low" acknowledges that this is something that should be
fixed as opposed to a nice-to-have feature.

From a user point of view it may already help if the attribute editors
are swapped to whatever is more appropriate for the current selection.
