gDesklets icon on indicator area does not do anything

I tried gDesklets on Ubuntu 10.10 and 11.04, and there was gDesklets icon on indicator area, but clicking on it didn't open gDesklets shell or do anything else I could notice.

Sorry, these were the default versions packaged in Ubuntu repositories. 0.36.1-4 I suppose.

Ah... OK.
This bugs has been fixed in 0.36.2 (or 0.36.3 ??).
Unfortunately ubuntu hasn't updated their gDesklets package for ages/years ... :/.

The latest release of gdesklets ( gDesklets 0.36.3 ) works fine in my
machine with Ubuntu 10.10

As discussed in IRC, I need some suggestions for activating PPA for gdesklets.

My ppa URL might look almost like this: ( otherwise, I should register
again with some other name like "gdesklets-dev". Is it required ? )
