Bug Description
The checkpoint feature is only supported on native Linux targets. Investigate whether this can be supported with gdbserver as well.

Verified:
Build the arm remote gdb and checkpoint command is not recognized there. On a ARM remote target host gdb Trydebugging a simple hello world application and issue a checkpoint command during execution.
