Bug Description

gcc-4.5.2 warns of two possible use-before-init cases which break building binutils.

cc1: warnings being treated as errors
error: ‘firsttype$defined’ may be used uninitialized in this function
error: ‘firsttype$index’ may be used uninitialized in this function

This bug could not be reproduced by original gcc-4.5.2. It is not a gas bug. It is a compiler bug caused by linaro patch.

Hi Haitao. Linaro GCC 4.5 is no longer maintained and the fault has been fixed in Linaro GCC 4.6 and 4.7. Is this still an issue for you?

No. I stop using 32-bit system. Now I am using Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit system and gcc 4.6 does not have this issue.
