Bug Description

Trying to build the toolchain I am getting an error about missing files. It is caused by simple copy+paste from the howto guide when the command "find -name ’*.tar.*’ | xargs -I% tar -xf %" is not executed at all. The pdf contains a special form of quotation marks, ’ instead of '. Ubuntu 8.10 reports no error while executing this command. Could be possible to change it in the manual?

Hi Martin,

I've just prepared a patch for this. However since we are already in the process of creating the Q2 release this will only show up in Q3 release.

Best regards.

Hi Martin,

Unfortunately the support for forcing straight quotes is not available in the version of the OS we use to build our toolchain. We *might* move to a more recent version for the GCC 5 toolchain release but it means this issue will remains present in our Q3 update release.

Best regards.

This is actually fixed since 4.9 2015Q3 release, as we found a solution that works on old texinfo versions.
