Gazette becomes invisible after expo mode is activated

I have expo set on my upper-left corner. When I activate it, all windows are shown, gazette is not visible in the background (but this is perfectly normal) and when I exit expo and minimize all windows to show my desktop gazette is correctly displayed. So far so good.

The bug refers to when there is NO active window. Of course it's useless to activate expo, but if you do (even by accident) gazette disappears. It's there though; if you click on an area of the desktop where a news headline or a recent file is supposed to be, it opens. You open a window, activate expo, give this window focus and gazette is back.
