Grid icons could be bigger

When switching workspaces, if there are lots of apps open on one workspace, the icons go very small:

Could it be redesigned so that there is a bigger area for them:

This would make it easier to see at a glance what is where, and would make it much less crowded.

This is intentional. When you have more than one app on a workspace, it becomes a "folder" of apps, much like you'd see on a mobile homescreen. If we expanded the folder instead of shrunk the icons, it would quickly become pretty difficult to switch workspaces.

Is there any way there could be a between, in that it expands to a point and then the icons shrink? It's hard for me to see what's open even on a large screen.
