Bug Description

Small white squares sometimes appear in each corner of my screen (see screenshot).
I don't know how to reproduce this bug or why they appear. (killing wingpanel doesn't change anything).

I use freya-beta2 + all upgrades.

It seems to happen after my computer wakes up from sleep (a few times perhaps).

Having the same issue on an Asus M70Vn laptop with a GeForce 9650M GT (rev a1) graphics card and proprietary Nvidia driver version 331.113. The squares don't appear after a regular boot up, only after waking from suspend. I suspect they have something to do with the hot corners functionality.

posting solution here too from duplicate bug - disabling rounded corner mask on fullscreen fixes this for now.

$ gsettings set org.pantheon.desktop.gala.mask-corners disable-on-fullscreen false

once bug is officially fixed, you can revert to default behavior by setting it to true:

$ gsettings set org.pantheon.desktop.gala.mask-corners disable-on-fullscreen true

or use dconf-editor

I also have this bug using 980gtx in SLI with Loki(0.4). There are white squares/dots in each corner and when I switch to multitask view, the background behind each desktop window is multicolor/static grid instead of black. This only happens from resuming from suspend.

I know that changing the resolution fixes it but it always happens after resume from suspend.

I have the same issue, dots in the corners and static background. It starts after a suspend, i's gone after a reboot.
It only seems to happen when I use a proprietary NVIDEA driver, not when I use the X.Org X server / Nouveau driver.
I'm running Loki on a XPS 15.
