Flickering when maximizing/restoring windows

When maximizing/restoring a window, flickering black background appears. I recorded a 50fps screencast which shows it.

Still #001: immediately after clicking the button, window gets clipped and a gray artifact appears.

Still #002: window becomes not clipped and continues to grow as normal. Artifact shrinks

Stilll #003: window suddenly becomes WAY bigger and gets offset (not centered anymore).

Still #004: window grows a bit, a part of it gets off screen (probably a wrong thing to do if you're animating it into a fullscreen position).

Still #005: window finally snaps into position.

I’m experiencing the same issue with my freya installation (newest updates installed).
The Video below shows a very laggy pantheon-files (i suspect due to the screen captioning process), normally it maximizes/minimizes much faster (but with the same animations errors).
