Alt-Tab like for switching apps/windows across all workspaces

Would like to be able to have some functionality which allows me to switching apps/windows across all workspaces, not just the windows in the current workspace.

If I could I would switch this over to a Wishlist item.

I am interested in seeing if I can port an alt-tab switcher over to elementary as a second option for a window switcher.

My go-to window switcher is the default switcher for Gnome 3 that switches between the apps, and when held for a moment allows you to choose which window of the current application that is open. Unity has a similiar behavior.

The switcher for Gnome 3 might be easier to port, since it is closer to Vala and Unity's switcher is part of Compiz, which is becoming less and less relevant.

Isaac, that sounds like a separate issue and maybe something you could do with an extension.

For OP's issue perhaps we can do something funky with modifiers like Option + Super + Tab?
