The alt-tab behavior is extremely disorienting for me. It significantly detracts from my experience with eOS. It's one of my few major complaints. I really want an alternative animation.

I see a lot of bug similar: #1154696 #1118309 #1139953
Can you merge them and discuss the problem?

Elementary OS is very nice on many points... but not on its alt-tab behavior, for sure.

At first thought, it seemed good idea to use the dock for that... but in fact, it really counter-productive.

First, when working with multiple screen, we need to move our eyes to the dock which is on the main monitor.

Second, there is no thumb of the windows.

It's really a pain to use ;)

Yep, I agree on what most people here are saying. Just installed EOS and really liking it so far. Just the alt+tab really takes me out of my workflow, because I only see one window at a time. OSX behaviour/ubuntu default behaviour would be great.
