Bug Description
Have you ever used OS X " Spaces " ? : * the desktop background is NOT
visible when you watch the " grid " of virtual desktop* , you see only
the windows inside each grid .
why ? : because you have to focus on each window for distinguish them and
they are small if you use 16 virtual desktops like me .
Gnome 3 ( mutter ) , Gaia , Compiz Grid are worse compared to Spaces . (
beautiful to see the desktop background , NOT beautiful to working with )

I'm +1 here. I've shown a mockup to Tom that uses only app icons and a kind of "container" metaphor. It's something we'll revisit for Luna +1.
