Bug Description

After right click a menu appears that comes from *nowhere* from the top. Even if that would work normaly, it would still look not good, and would not fit the style of plank.

So what do you want me to do now? Remove the animation completely? I think it's not that much of a problem.

Still a valid bug... Compiz allows more fine-grained matching, application-specific one etc. Maybe Gala could check if the window is created below or above the parent window or cursor and animate the transition accordingly.

Also happens when right-clicking a page in Midori toward the bottom half of the page. The big long menu comes from above, when it should come from the direction of the cursor.

As the fix is working on mouse position if you use a keyboard shortcut this issue can still be seen
ex. put mouse at bottom of screen and press <Alt>F1

We've been able to demonstrate that the current animation can be made to appear incorrect. It would be better to revert to a simple fade to avoid this issue.
