Bug Description

furiusisomount version 0.11.1.1-0ubuntu2 depends on nautilus. This bug is not about ISOs in furiusisomount but rather a clash between nautilus and dolphin in a Kubuntu system, each trying to compete to mount a USB thumb drive.

When nautilus is installed on Kubuntu 9.10, and a USB thumb drive is plugged in, there is competition between nautilus and the default USB device manager in Kubuntu which comes up with options to open Dolphin or other programs. The nautilus option wins and the USB is mounted but not by hal. Accordingly, when I try to eject in in dolphin, I am unable to and need to go to the nautilus do to do this.

The problem arose after I installed furiusisomount because it depends on nautilus. I think that, if possible, making furiusisomount depend on either package, i.e.,
nautilus | dolphin
should circumvent this issue.

If that is not the real problem, and there is a deeper reason for the competition between nautilus and dolphin in trying to mount and seize control of the USB thumb drive, please advise me what and where to report it.

furiusisomount is a good application: kudos to the developer(s).

Thanks.
