Bug Description

A new HP BL460c Gen9 has 512GB RAM as belows:

Processor 1 1 Good, In Use Yes 752372-081 DIMM DDR4 32768 MB 2133 MHz 1.2 V 4 LRDIMM
 ...
Processor 2 8 Good, In Use Yes 752372-081 DIMM DDR4 32768 MB 2133 MHz 1.2 V 4 LRDIMM

Once I did the following:

openstack baremetal introspection bulk start

I saw the following output.

+------------------------+-------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| Property | Value |
+------------------------+-------------------------------------------------------------------------+
 ...
| properties | {u'memory_mb': u'512', u'cpu_arch': u'x86_64', u'local_gb': u'278', |

My understanding based on python script, I should see 524288 as memory. Because the unit of
memory is mega-byte not kilo-byte.

I'm using the following:

    python-ironicclient-0.5.1-9.el7ost.noarch
    python-ironic-discoverd-1.1.0-5.el7ost.noarch
    openstack-ironic-conductor-2015.1.0-9.el7ost.noarch
    openstack-ironic-api-2015.1.0-9.el7ost.noarch
    openstack-ironic-common-2015.1.0-9.el7ost.noarch
    openstack-ironic-discoverd-1.1.0-5.el7ost.noarch

If I've missed anything, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Shinobu

I don't see any fuel package.
What does diagnostic mean?

What kind of information do you want me to provide with you?
To be honest, I've checked above 6 py scripts. But I couldn't
find anything.

To get the diganostic snapshot please perform these steps:

1 - Please check to confirm you have sufficient free space on the fuel master node, as follows:
Amount of free space available in /var/www/nailgun/dump, where snapshot will be stored:
df -hP /var/www/nailgun/dump
should be bigger than size of remote logs:
du -hs /var/log/remote/

2 - Login to fuel web interface by following the link http://<ip_fuel_master_node>:8000
3 - Click Support at the top
4 - Click "Generate diagnostic snapshot"
5 - Download generated snapshot (may take up to 10 minutes depending on volume of logs)
6 - If your downloaded snapshot is under 20MB, you may attach it to this ticket.

If it is larger than 20MB, please upload it to a 3rd party service, such as Google Drive or DropBox, and reply with a link to download it.

Shinobu, I don't think you meant to write this bug to Fuel, but instead Ironic project.
You're using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 packages, not Fuel ones, so I don't think we can help you here.

If this is the case, please either report a bug directly to Ironic project or to Red Hat Bugzilla. If you have any questions, feel free to reopen this bug.

Changed in fuel:
milestone: none → 8.0
