Bug Description

Using the latest version of freenx server on Ubuntu 12.04, Nomachine Player 4 does not see any existing sessions; it only allows you to create new sessions. This occurs with both Mac and Windows versions of the client. The old NX 3 Client is still able to see the old sessions and resume them.

+1 Same setup, same problem. I have read this article: http://www.nomachine.com/ar/view.php?ar_id=AR11I00609
Nomachine seems to be aware of this problem, and they also believe it is the server-side software problem

NoMachine Player seems to be more picky about server responces compared to NXClient 3.5.x.
There's a patch for freenx that fixes nxserver in a way NoMahine Player understans output format and works properly with remote sessions handling. Here is a link: http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/freenx-knx/2012-July/009695.html
