Temporary workaround:

1) Create a file named, for example:

/etc/apt/sources.list.d/FreeFileSync.list

2) Enter the following line in that file:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/freefilesync/ffs/ubuntu trusty main #FreeFileSync

3) And finally enter the usual commands:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

I did this, but when I tried to install freefilesync I got the following message (note that I am using 15.04, vivid):

freefilesync:
Depends: libboost-system1.54.0 but it is not installable
Depends: libboost-thread1.54.0 but it is not installable
Depends: libwxbase3.0-0 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libwxgtk3.0-0 but it is not going to be installed

The problem appears to be that libboost is up to 1.55 now. I determined that these components (at least the system one) are in "us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu trusty/universe" but I don't know how to add that repository.
