Bug Description

Binary package hint: libextractor-dev

Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-close.c: 736: _dl_close: Assertion
`map->l_init_called' failed! error

Just a simple program below will cause it.

Can be reproduced in maverick install on amd64 and i386

It looks like if "Bug Watch Updater" noticed that Bob Gobeille closed the bug.
@mindentropy: apparently the agent is gonna be removed from FOSSology in version 1.4 (not released yet) and that's the solution proposed by the FOSSology team. They don't intend to fix the problem on previous versions :-(

@mindentropy: I kind of isolated and reproduced the problem on my side. I doesn't work only if running on a virtual machine (tested with VirtualBox and KVM), but it works OK on a native installation. Is the installation you are testing on also installed on a virtual machine?

@Silvano: I tested it on the native machine. It has problems in both x86 and x86_64. Also what about other projects using this library? Is it fossology specific?

Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick) reached end-of-life on April 10, 2012.

We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested in discussing it any more. But if you are then please upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test.
