Datestamp isn't human friendly

Bug Description

16:06 Tuesday, 3.4.2012 isn't the best format for reading the date, some possible solutions would be to follow the system default (and make sure the system default's format doesn't suck) or use a hard coded date format.

I'm personally fond of using March 30, 2012 9:47 AM format.

I think there should be the weekday somewhere, since this is the most meaningful part of any date for me.

I think the datetime should be displayed consistently over the whole over elementary os, so it should follow the standard setting. But to my knowledge that standard setting does not exist yet, so this should be discussed with the rest of the elementary devs...

Changed in footnote:
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
status: New → Confirmed
