Bug Description
I've read bug 240670 and its resolution, but I don't believe that it addresses the use case that I'll outline below:
I often triage bugs from heavily firewalled environments (e.g., Cosi restaurant), and it would be useful for 5-a-day to provide a non-default method for committing solely to a local branch, e.g.,
5-a-day --add --local 1234567890 234567890 34567890 4567890 567890

In the meantime, I've found a workaround by interrupting (ctrl+c) attempts to push to remote branch(es), upon which 5-A-Day commits locally.
