Bug Description
Seems LP: #1190039 is back: Booting off a USB flash drive connected to a USB 3.0 fails with Finnix 111. On the same hardware, it worked previously (since Finnix 109).
Reason this time: xhci-pci.ko is missing from the initrd. Recent kernels seem to have split xhci-hcd.ko into two parts and only xhci-hcd.ko is in Finnix 111's initrd.
Copying xhci-pci.ko and modules.* from the Finnix root filesystem to the initrd fixed this for me.

Sorry for the delay; I didn't realize bugs were being submitted here. Nonetheless, thank you for your report! For more details on recent developments, please see https:/ /blog.finnix. org/2020/ 05/19/behind- the-scenes- of-finnix- 120/ .
Finnix 120 now uses live-boot, which does properly build an initramfs with xhci-pci. Fixed, accidentally!
