Bug Description

Is it possible to add fornightly as one of the time period presets? e.g. for recurrence, budgets, etc.

Thanks :)

Note: Fortnightly is 2 weeks and is the most common period in Australia (and I would think elsewhere) for salary, rent, etc.

And possibility to navigate Back/Forward these periods would be more comprehensive solution.

Omax's idea sounds great. Covers every contingency so once implemented their shouldn't be another feature request related to periods again.

You can add a fortnight by using a Geeky recurrance pattern, with an RFC of "FREQ=WEEKLY;INTERVAL=2;BYDAY=WE" for every second thursday (note the off-by-one bug on the BYDAY). RFC-2445 is at http://google-rfc-2445.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/rfc2445.html

Correction: off-by-one only occurs if the time set is before UTC midnight. For AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time, which is UTC+10) you can use an RRULE of "FREQ=WEEKLY;INTERVAL=2;BYDAY=TH" provided that the time is 10:00AM or later.

Can you advise how to set this up for Australian Central Standard Time?
