encypted zip files created with file-roller cannot be unzipped by other apps

Bug Description

I'm compressing some files with file-roller using password.
Encrypted zip file can be opened by file-roller but winrar doesn't work and unzip (on the same machine as file-roller) gives "unsupported compression method 99" for every file from archive.

I just encountered the same problem with File Roller 2.30.1.1 on Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS.

I was able to open the archive that had last been saved with File Roller using WinZip 9.0 on a Windows 98SE machine to extract all the password-protected, encrypted files, then re-compressed them with File Roller, using the same compression method used previously, to produce a new zip archive.

This is a serious issue! It should NEVER, EVER happen. If I hadn't had access to an old Microsoft Windows 98 system, my files would effectively have been LOST.

One month later, I try to access the same file that was compressed on the same machine with File Roller 2.30.1.1 on Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS, and IT CAN'T EVEN OPEN ITS OWN ENCRYPTED ZIP ARCHIVE. File Roller is "write-only software".

Does anyone ever test their own software before inflicting it on others?
