Description:
The Q Light Controller (QLC) is an X11/Linux application to control DMX or 0-10V lighting systems like dimmers, scanners and other lighting effects. Our goal is to replace expensive and rather limited hardware lighting desks with free software.

Main features -
* Easy to use device-oriented interface
* Control up to 512 DMX/Analog channels through DMX4Linux
* Use one of the ready-made fixture definitions, or
* Define your own fixtures with the device class editor
* Create fast changing or smoothly fading scenes, chasers and sequences
* Easy programming of moving lights through a pattern generator
* Conjure your favourite lighting desk layout with the virtual console

QLC uses the dmx4linux driver suite to access various hardware interfaces. Currently DMX512, Analog 0-10V and MIDI control systems are being supported by dmx4linux. Refer to dmx4linux interfaces for more information on supported interfaces.

That deb is for i386.
Can a deb for AMD64 be made as well.
AMD64 is great for multimedia.
Multimedia capable PCs get used in the performance industries, so this would be very useful.

Thank you.

BTW, QLC was heavily updated since the last message on that ticket. QLC is now available as version 3.0.6 and uses QT4. Debs are also available (see: http://sourceforge.net/projects/qlc/files/ ) so it should makes Ubuntu integration easier.

You may also look at QLC's wiki for more info and compiling instructions: http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/qlc/

I'm currently trying to compile QLC's trunk on kubuntu 10.04 LTS. There is a show-stopper bug that I'm looking to fix. You can follow my progress there: http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/qlc/ticket/31
