Description:
Gcbttv is a Perl script with a nice GUI that helps you to find the correct module options for your TV capture card - bttv (Card uses the BrookTree chip).
It use Perl-GTK, and it writes the correct options to /etc/modules.conf and .xawtv.

I have not continue to maintain gcbttv due to configuration tools of mandrake etc. If you think it is still necessary I can maintain it.

It might be a good idea to at least keep an eye on it.
The Brooktree devices are useful V4L and other video capture and TV programs.

I haven't noticed any configuration tools (GUI type) in Ubuntu, which is why I submitted it.

If the bugs have been removed, then there may not be much work that needs to be done.
You can always start a team on Ubuntu Launchpads PPA webspace (free).
