I'd like to request a backport of the libmtp6 (0.2.1-0ubuntu3) library currently available in Gutsy.
Feisty currently uses libmtp5 (0.1.3-0ubuntu2), which according to the official changelog (http://

Since the first release there have been not only many bugfixes (including several critical ones that made more devices usable) but also support for many new devices has been added.
5->6 is an API version bump, which can't be easily backported.
