Bug Description

My configuration: HP MFP477 (printer and scanner).
Installed printer using HP device manager (which works fine).

Scanning from simple-scan works fine as long as I scan single pages (from the flatbed scanner)

If I want to scan from the feeder (and set the scanner to duplex (which it should be able to do), the pages are scanned only patially and parts of the scanned image copied onto one page (typically 1/3rd of page 1 and 2/3rds of page 2 are put underneath each other, then the remaining image of page 2 is sent to second page).

Installing the dev libs which hp-doctor suggests does not improve on the result (thus I have removed them again).

Hi All!

I've a similar issue with M477fdw under Fedora distro and just reported it with an example of scan and some additional details there: #1625379.

Changed in simple-scan (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Medium

It looks like fixed already. At least in Fedora 34, simple-scan-40.
I don't know what was a reason for the issue and missed point what and when it was fixed.
