no notifications bubbles on 8.10

I am not getting any notification bubbles at all. Have not seen ione at all - I had to dig for screenshots to ensure that this was in fact a feature. Ie. when a new message is shown in the main window, I would expect some sort of popup notifying me about this message - not happening. I have "display bubbles" enabled in prefs.

I have this issue in Fedora 11. However, I don't have any Atom/RSS feeds enabled. Notifications are working, and "notify-send test" pops up a test notification.

Scratch the Atom/RSS bit. Mistake. The rest applies, though.

I have the same problem om 8.04 (Jaunty) with the dev PPA. Haven't seen notifications for weeks, and they used to work.

Since this report have a long time without activity, could you check (if is possible) in latest version included in Karmic if this issue is still happening? Thanks in advance.

problem seems to be gone in gwibber 2.0.0 in karmic
