Bug Description

Binary package hint: falcon

When the repository configured for one binary type (ie. amd64) and another type is added (ie. i386) the error message is rather cryptic and should be updated. A better error message will help users troubleshoot their repository and save time.

Here is the error message:

slayton@localhost:~$ falcon-start export
Falcon repository manager 2.0.5 (C)2005-2008 Dennis Kaarsemaker <email address hidden>
* Exporting component 'hardy/main'
Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/falcon/pocket.py", line 279, in export

KeyError: 'i386'

If falcon has been removed from Jaunty is there an alternative that is being introduced/used?

No. It was removed because it was broken and upstream is not actively
maintaining it. There are other repository management tools in the
archive, but none are intended as a replacement for falcon.
