Scanning drive for STL files insufficient

It is not clear what the scope of the indexing STL file loader is. At the very least, it is not the whole computer because it does not scan partitions other than the one the program is on.

Also, the indexed search is simply not a replacement for a standard open dialog box on many levels. Please implement an option to load an STL file under the "File" menu, and also a button next to the "Rescan" button under the indexed STL files list that allows the user to just load a single STL file directly to the build tray.

There is no need to rock the boat by changing very well established functionality.
