Alpha transparency doesn't work on Ubuntu / Xubuntu >= 11.04

Exaile 3.2.1 from Ubuntu repository
Ubuntu 11.04 / Unity 3D

When I try to use Alpha transparency , Exaile don't show many buttons . they appear when i put the mouse-cursor on it .
Alpha transparency was OK on Maverick with compiz .

My guess is this is either a bug in the GTK theme engine you are using to in the Unity compositor, seeing as Unity is still fairly new and Exaile relies on GTK to do the heavy lifting for composite support. Feel free to reopen if you have evidence to the contrary.

I seem to have the same problem. Not sure if this makes any difference to the previous comment but I am using the classic desktop on Ubuntu 11.04.

I can see the buttons when the window is maximised, but if I resize the window I can only see the buttons when I hover the cursor over them.

I have had this problem regularly with the newer versions of Exaile, I know that it is not in Unity or the GTK+ theme because I don't use Unity, and it happens regardless of which theme I have set.

Bug 845072 reports seeing this in Xfce, so I'm resetting the bug.

Having same problem on the version of XFCE shipped with Ubuntu 11.10
