Move progress indicators into status bar

Bug Description

The progress indicators currently displayed under the panes on the left side of the window should be moved into the status bar. Since there can then only be one of them at the same time it should be a progress indicator consisting of all currently running actions. Activating it should then show a dialog listing all currently running actions.

The "master" progress indicator could also offer a way to cancel/pause all running actions.

Why should it be moved thus? The progresses are much more visible where they are.

They clutter up the GUI if there are multiple. They can even go as far as make the pane tree inaccessible. And they show status of actions which is why they should be placed where all status indicators are placed: the status bar.

Valid to a point, but for many people who have plenty of screen space the increased visibility outweighs the clutter imo.

Perhaps, but we already have a lot in our statusbar don't we? Messages on the left and playlist/collection stats on the right, which on a small screen wouldn't leave any space for additional widgets.

Very valid, this definitely needs to be addressed.

Considering these points, perhaps it'd be best to just switch the progressbars into the more compact form you outline, but in the same spot they are at present, if there are enough of them that they take up too much screen space. Dunno if we can determine what % of the pane area the bars are taking up, but they probably shouldn't be allowed to use more than 25% for multiple bars.

I’d just go with only allowing exactly one indicator at the same time. As soon as there are more than one to show, the "master" indicator is shown instead.

That's probably the simplest solution, I can agree with that.
