Bug Description

I am running Exaile 0.3.2.2 on Linux Mint 12, using Xfce as the Desktop environment. I installed Exaile from the Ubuntu/Mint repository using the Mint software manager.

If I reduce the width of the left-hand panel (artist, album, etc) to the absolute minimum the mouse cursor gets stuck on the horizontal-resizing pointer icon and the rest of the desktop fails to respond to any further mouse inputs. I can still launch new applications using keyboard shortcuts, but those applications do not respond to any mouse or keyboard inputs.

This happens every time I attempt the same action. If I try to kill the exaile.py process from another computer (using SSH) it does not respond. The only solution is to shutdown the computer remotely using "sudo shutdown....." or usie a "dirty" method, such as disconnecting the electricity supply.

This seems like an xfce/gtk bug, not an exaile bug.

We have made a change with r4009 to 1) not trigger a gazillion of signals upon separator movement and 2) only store the position of the separator once upon application exit. Let us know if this helps.

Changed in exaile:

importance: Undecided → High
status: New → Incomplete

Changed in gtk:
