Bug Description

Binary package hint: exaile

I just upgraded a known working Ubuntu 10.10 desktop with 11.04 beta today and found that Evolution can no longer download new email. The status bar at the bottom of the window reports that it is attempting to but it just sits there for hours in the same state.

I sent a new email and it appeared to go, but when I clicked send receive, SMTP shows that there is a message waiting to go.

Cannot close the window either. I gave up and used the reboot menu option (which worked).

Using another 10.10 machine I had no problem sending or receiving email so I a sure that it is a problem with 11.04 and not my provider.

Ubuntu Natty (Development Branch) 11.04 beta 64-bit on a Lenovo 3000 N500 laptop with 4GB RAM.
evolution 2.32.2-0ubuntu4 0
Using Classic with effects, tried Unity but I prefer the classic menus as I can launch multiple terminals when I like.
Email provider is GMAIL using my own domain name.
Mail setup for SPF, DKIM and SMIME with Comodo certificate.

Sorry, this has nothing to do with exaile. For some reason when I searched for evolution bugs an exaile report came back. I have no idea why this is report is attached to the exaile package other than I don't use Launchpad much and I probably clicked the 'new bug' button while the irrelevant exaile report was still displayed in my browser.

Marking the ubuntu/exaile bug invalid. I can't find ubuntu/evolution so I've just filed against evolution.

Now I'll just have to deal with Launchpad sending me notifications for this bug forever.

Changed in exaile (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
