Evolution displays folder as unread even though all mail in it is read

Bug Description

This happens sporadically. I have attached a screenshot showing what I mean. That folder still shows as unread in the side pane, yet filtering for Unread Messages in the list shows none. I've also looked through the entire list of messages and there are no new messages.

Thinking it a graphic glitch, I tried collapsing and expanding the list in the side pane but neither that nor minimising and restoring the window helped. It is just a minor annoyance, but I decided to mention it anyway.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:

 * Is this reproducible?
 * If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?
 * What ubuntu version do you use?

 This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

* It isn't reproducible, but it does occur now and then and only ever on custom folders (never in the Inbox). I read email by opening the first message and then hitting next until I reach the last unread mail.

* I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 with Evolution 2.26.1

could you open a bug on http://bugzilla.gnome.org about the issue where the software writters will read it too?

Hello,

Yes, I've opened a bug about EVOLUTION, but not the one you gave me the
link (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/365140 ).

I'm sorry, your original reply got buried in my Inbox. I searched to see if it was reported but it wasn't, so I have done so now. It is #586253.

Hello,

I don't know if there solutions. The people that search for solutions have
replied to me but I didn't understood and I really had not enough time to
search Because I have a baby.
My solution is that I don't use it anymore while I was quite satisfied by
the soft.

Hi Giulio !

No, I had no solutions .... And I really had no time to search for them
because I have a baby now, I have a new job that takes more time from me and
we have a new house with all the things to do in it ....
So I don't use it anymore !

Bye,

I'm experiencing this all the time now. When I move a read message from my inbox to another folder, this other folder begins to show one unread message. When I open the folder, all the messages are shown as read (the subject lines are not shown with bold font). When I do "mark as read", nothing changes, but when I first mark the message as unread and then read, then the folder stops showing unread messages.

I just noticed, that the problem doesn't affect every message, but I don't know yet what makes some messages affected and some not. I'll try to figure that out

I have faced this problem a few times during the recent years with Evolution, but for the couple of last days it's been happening more than on those previous times.
