"Select all" doesn't really select all

Bug Description
While using the threaded view, if you collapse a few entries and then choose
"select all", the hidden entries aren't selected, but choosing "select thread"
does select even hidden entries from the thread. This seems inconsistant. (I'd
personally prefer hidden entries also get selected.)
