Bug Description

The contacts in my Evolution Ubuntu One address book won't sync to the Ubuntu One website. I followed the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuOne/Tutorials/Contacts. Previously I was having trouble accessing the address book (https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/454305) and I had deleted the address book.

This is the terminal output when I run evolution.
** (evolution:3095): DEBUG: mailto URL command: evolution %s
** (evolution:3095): DEBUG: mailto URL program: evolution

** (evolution:3095): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed

The attachment is terminal output after running "evolution --force-shutdown", then "/usr/lib/evolution/evolution-data-server-2.28"

I confirm this problem, Ubuntu One address book won't sync for me either. In addition to it, I've found the Ubuntu One address book is "unremovable", that's it, if I try to delete it from context menu, it disappears, but on the next evolution start it is back again with all the contacts inside it.

Could you please attach the ~/.cache/desktop-couch/log/desktop-couch-replication.log file to this bug?

Seems your oauth tokens are no longer valid, so could you please follow the instructions on how to restart desktopcouch at http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications/desktopcouch/Documentation/Troubleshooting and try again, please?

I followed the instructions to kill and restart desktopcouch but still not working. On step 4 of the instructions, when the bookmark file opens, the page then goes to http://localhost:60861/_utils but my browser reports this as "page not found".

The file desktop-couchdb.ini has not been regenerated yet (should it?).

Output after running /usr/lib/evolution/evolution-data-server-2.28 attached.

I can give a "me too" to this particular bug.

My couchdb and Evolution are talking. The sync to Ubuntu One, on the other hand, isn't working and it appears that the keys aren't right. I've restarted Couchdb and that works fine.

So, it seems that my client it out of sync with Ubuntu One with regards to the keys.

I'm looking for a procedure that will let me re-establish those keys.

I've a feeling that all this started because I installed this particular laptop on 13 March and had to file a bug report for Ubuntu One not displaying contacts or notes- and I beleve that my Evolution acquired bogus keys.

I have tried some of the advices I found searching the problem on the Internet:
 - I have tried to reattach my computer to Ubuntu One. The file-syncing works fine, so I don't think ubuntuone-syncdaemon is the problem.
 - Tried to kill the desktopcouch-service, evolution-data-server-2.28 and beam.smp processes, and remove .config/desktop-couch/desktop-couchdb.ini. Evolution is able to store contacts in the desktopcouch, but the desktopcouch is not synced with Ubuntu One. It seams like my desktopcouch is not properly registered with Ubuntu One.

Contacts Syncing don't work in 64bit and 32bit of Ubuntu. Additionally, the only thing that works in Ubuntu One is file sync. I tried everything I found in the internet about this issue, and was not able to make desktopcouch work properly.
But I see that SyncML from mobile devices works well, in my Nokia N95 8GB the app just sent all the contacts, and all the rest correctly to Ubuntu One, isn't possible to use this program in Evolution, and using the same credentials used in my mobile?
Attached that file everyone is attaching.

Why can't we edit the comments here for 15 min? Well, I just get the wrong file attached, a gnome bug, that sometimes you select one file, but the right above/below comes out -.-
Sorry for double comments and off-topic.

Same problem here with Ubuntu 10.10. On my old laptop, everything was working fine and my contact are stored on one.ubuntu.com.

I've got a new laptop, entered my Ubuntu One ID : files were downloaded almost immediatly but, after 2 days, still have no contacts in Evolution.

Rodrigo, contacts replication in Evolution is now working for me! (Ubuntu 11.04 Natty 64 bits). I don't think this would have a link whatsoever, but while troubleshooting Tomboy notes synchronization, I went in Tomboy's preferences, synchronization tab, and hit the "Clear" button.

While the OP got some 401 error (according the attached log), the other logs here show an http error 503 (Service Temporarily Unavailable), which is the same error I see constantly for a couple of weeks now in *replication.log. I also get this error accessing https://couchdb.one.ubuntu.com with a browser. File a new bug?
