I think the issue is that the value of vandelay. default_ match_set is not available when the page is initially loaded, so we can't use it as the startId for the match set selector. I tried moving the setting lookup to ngOnInit(), but even this didn't cause the form to be updated with the default match set. Someone with more Angular knowledge will need to take a look.
